The Latest in Eye Chart Software
"iChartPlus" is a computer generated eye chart marketed to optometrists, ophthalmologists and opticals. The letters are calibrated to the specified acuities (20/20, 20/40 et al) and the user (doctor) will custom calibrate the chart to suit his monitor and exam lane.
The doctor can select calibrated letters, numbers, pictures, "tumbling E" "Tumbling C" or HOTV. The doctor can also educate patients through the photo gallery and show videos (of Lasik, Cataract surgery et al). The program may be used with a "mirrored" room or with direct view (no mirror). Usable room distances 8 - 24 feet. Works with Windows XP on Microsoft's ".Net" technology on either 17" or 19" LCD monitors.

The programs work with Windows XP and any 17 or 19 inch monitor. You don't need a special video card or a particularly stout computer to run this software. We recommend getting an inexpensive computer and monitor. The user should be aware that if they use a long (greater than 10 feet) SVGA cable, the analog signal may degrade with longer cable distances (shadowing). With digital monitors & cables this is not an issue--either it will work or it won't. We recommend having the monitor relatively close to the computer.
